T505 - The Physician Leader and MSP: Teamwork, Partnership and Collaboration – A Candid Conversation

Session Description: This session is aimed at giving MSPs an opportunity to have a candid conversation with physician leaders on the panel related to challenges they face in their day-to-day operations. Our unique physician leaders, who bring a combined 60+ years of experience, will give attendees their perspective on how the MSP can navigate difficult situations and how to improve teamwork and collaboration between the MSP, Physician Leader, and Medical staff. Our panel also includes an MSP with over 30 years of experience who will be instrumental in driving the discussion from the MSP’s perspective. In addition to an open, Q&A format, the panel will provide their perspective on dealing with these common challenges: understanding leadership styles and the importance of communication, navigating difficult situations, how the MSP can achieve advocacy from leadership, and how to strengthen the relationship with the Governing Board.
