Amanda D. Pierce is the Director of Medical Staff Services for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. She started her career path at a small billing company where she conducted provider enrollment activities for a wide array of practitioner types and specialties, including free standing surgery centers and urgent care centers. Amanda also has experience working in the Medical Staff Office at a Military Treatment Facility and managing her own company that provides contract medical staff, credentialing, provider enrollment, and consultative services. In total, Amanda has 16 years cumulative experience in Medical Staff Services, credentialing, privileging, and Provider enrollment. Over the years, she has implemented and monitored employer’s initial process of paperless credentialing, privileging, and recredentialing activities; participated in the merging activities of two large health care systems; and managed several successful audits and surveys with TJC, CMS, NCQA, Health Plans, and Managed Care Organizations
Amanda’s passion lies with promoting education, mentoring, resources, and career growth for her fellow MSP’s and provider enrollment specialist. Most recently she has been a panelist for the NAMSS Provider Enrollment Series and a Subject Matter Expert contributing with the NAMSS Products and Resources Subcommittee. Amanda is a current member of the NAMSS membership committee, and has previously served as a Director At Large, President-Elect, President, and Immediate Past President for Texas Society for Medical Services Specialist.
Amanda holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and has achieved and maintained CPCS and CPMSM certification.
