Jordan Gilels, MBA, CPMSM, CPCS, Senior Director – Medical Staff Services, Mount Sinai Health System, brings more than two decades of operational and leadership experience in Medical Staff credentialing, privileging, and regulatory compliance.
Throughout Jordan’s career in large academic health systems, she has been active in developing system-wide credentialing policies and processes encompassing all facets of medical staff and delegated credentialing. Most recently, Jordan has focused on enhancing the partnership between delegated credentialing and Medical Staff Services leading to increased billing and revenue streams for MSHS hospitals, ambulatory practices, and joint ventures. Jordan has also worked to streamline and enhance the MSHS onboarding process post-COVID-19 to drastically reduce turn-around times and improve internal and externa customer satisfaction.
Additionally, beginning in 2012 with Hurricane Sandy, Jordan has been instrumental throughout the New York Metropolitan area developing and operationalizing best practices in response to numerous disaster credentialing initiatives, waves of COVID-19, and other non-traditional credentialing situations.
Before joining Mount Sinai Health System, Jordan managed Medical Staff Services Teams at the Northwell Heath System in Manhasset, NY and at Baylor Scott & White in Dallas, Texas.
Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Clarkson University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services Management from Hofstra University. She holds her CPMSM and CPCS from National Association Medical Staff Services.
