Amanda Walker has worked in Medical Staff and Credentialing for more than 20 years starting her career as an Administrative Assistant and working her way up through various Medical Staff and Credentialing positions. She currently serves as Manager to an integrated CVO in Portland, Oregon overseeing the Credentilaing, Enrollment and some Claims Management functions of her organization.
During her career she has worked in both rural and larger multispecialty and tertiary institutions and recognizes the importance of being able to lead people and navigate through the never-ending changes that face Healthcare. COVID brought newer unique challenges to the already changing landscape requiring creative thinking in managing the ongoing rollercoaster of Pandemic fallout.
She has a particular interest in process improvement and change management and is passionate about the need to increase diversity and equity in both credentialing and healthcare.
She has previously acted as Treasurer for her State Association and channels her passion for DEI as a member of the NAMSS DEI Taskforce.
When not working she’d like to list out a boatload of hobbies she partakes in, but instead she has teenagers!
