Session Description: In this session, we will be exploring the diverse roles that Medical Staff Professionals (MSPs) can hold within the healthcare industry. We will cover various responsibilities such as delegation, provider enrollment, onboarding, credentialing, GME, accreditation/regulatory SME, and leadership including operations and management across different facility types such as Ambulatory, LTACH, ACH, etc.
We will also review the pros and cons of having a multifunctional role, including the benefits of broadening skillset and network, as well as the challenges of role conflict, time pressure, daily stress, and burn-out.
Finally, we will discuss practical strategies to cope with these challenges, including prioritization, integration vs. separation, organization, setting expectations, education, and self-care. This session will provide valuable insights and tools for MSPs who are looking to manage multiple roles and responsibilities effectively.
